Chances are if you lived in a soviet village or town (pre-90’s), you were without electricity, so devises like this were pretty handy. I saw this in our Tech dept (of all places) at the Baptist Union, and had to write about it. It reminds me of when I was camping with family as a kid. We made scrambled eggs with such a device except in place of a drill bit, a wisk. I’m going to say that this thing probably doesn’t make breakfast quite as tasty.

is that an egg beater drill? does it have different attachments so you can make breakfast and finish your cabinets at the same time?
Looks like something you might inject the egg with rather than scramble it!
I am a lot older than Jake an I used both the hand drill and hand mixer for food. I might be old and fashioned but I call it being “GREEN”! Some of us were just ahead of our time. I also mowed the lawn by a push mower and paid 26 cents for a gallon of gas in my first car. 5000 Blue Chip stamp wars were after that {bonus for buying at there station}.
